Kris has been a full-time freelance graphic designer and illustrator since 1993. Much of her work over the years has been in book publishing, primarily designing and producing book interiors. She also designs covers and creates illustrations for both the interiors and jackets. These books are typically complex books such as cookbooks, lifestyle books, art books, and how-to guides.

In 2011, Kris formed Matchbook Digital. The company produces apps of all types, with a focus on interactive books and magazines for iPad.

Clients include HarperCollinsPublishers, Houghton Mifflin, Harry Abrams, Random House, William Morrow, and Simon & Schuster,among others.

Kris is a graduate of New York University and currently resides in Brooklyn.
